Alright, time to cut straight to the point.  You may be wondering, well jeez, how can I wear cute vintage clothing in the winter without ruining any of my clothes?  Well, here’s the thing: you can’t do it all of the time.  If you are to pick a winter day to wear cute vintage clothing, do it on a mild winter day, and not when it’s a blizzard worthy of The Day After Tomorrow outside.

Secondly, layer smartly.  You may want to look cute, but look cute while being warm, for goodness sake!  For further details, here is my vintage winter outfit exemplified below:

I’m wearing a vintage sweater dress paired with Coach sneakers and a beanie.  This was a pretty mild winter day in Chicago, so while the beanie helped make everything a lot warmer, I also recommend wearing leggings underneath a long dress like this one.  That way, your legs don’t freeze off.

Alright kids.  Get outside, don’t get frost bite, and lastly, be smart.  Oh, and be sure to pick me up an iced coffee while you’re at it, I’m not feeling like going out today.
